Just a few month after Intel launched his P35 chipset, where at the same time Intel also officially launched their new processors where equipped with 1333 MHz bus. To response this, the memory manufacturer also announced their new DDR3 modules labeled as PC 12800 or DDR3-1600, one of them is what we will test today.
The memory DDR3 that we have here is coming from Team Xtreem labeled as DDR3-1600 2GB Kit with the complete series is TXD32048M1600HC7DC.
This dual-channel kit is packaged using the green color box , in the front side there is have a ventilation that shaped like the “X” letter where this is also known as a Team Xtreem identity. The information about the frequency speed and the timing configuration can be found on the right bottom corner of the package, instead of it there is also we can found the specification voltage.

Meanwhile at the back side of the package, there is no necessary information, at this side there is only the information about the feature of this memory in six different language. The information about the warranty period is given on the right bottom side, right after the award winning space.
Like any other high end vendors, Team Group, Inc as the owner of Team Xtreem brand also equipped their high end memory modules using heat spreader that using own shape. In general, the design of the heat spreader of this memory is not as a complex the other brand. This heat spreader models remembering me with the Apogee GT modules that we tested before. The aluminum materials divided into two part – the front side is more thin than the back one. Both side connected with tiny bolts.

At the front side, there is just “Xtreem” shaped with the Team logo at the top right side of the heat spreader, meanwhile the back side is nothing special shape, the information about the modules is given by the sticker at the right corner. The information given in this sticker is same with in the box.

The Micron D9JNL chipset's packaging system is like the other DDR3 2GB kit modules, where they planted at one side. They located on the front side so the back side is left to be empty, however the heat spreader not directly contacted with the PCB like what Patriot do, they isolated with rubber to avoid some short circuit possibility. The total amount of the chip is eight.
